Veneers
Veneers
![]() |
Veneers are a thin layer of cosmetic material that covers the tooth and are a great way to improve the appearance of your smile. |
Dental veneers are a great option if you have badly stained, worn, broken or mildly irregular teeth. They require minimal preparation and may be provided in one visit. There are many types of veneers, each with different indications.
Broadly speaking, veneers are made from porcelain or composite material.
Examples of veneers
Filling gaps between the teeth
|
This lady was worried about the look of the gaps between her teeth and asked what could be done. We experimented in wax on models of her teeth and showed her possible results. Then we built up the teeth with composite veneers in one visit and no tooth trimming. |

Repairing worn teeth
|
This young man had excessive premature wear of his teeth. Without prompt action the wear would progress to a stage where treatment would be difficult and extensive. Here we waxed up a model of the proposed outcome, and then carefully built up the front teeth in stages with composite veneers using the Dhal technique. This has prolonged the life of his teeth whilst improving the appearance of his smile. This involved minimal tooth preparation, and saved the need for extensive crowns and root treatments. |
